Counselors 

Counselors are here to help you get on the right path to reach your academic and career goals. An LAP Counselor will develop an individualized academic accommodations plan (AAP) through an interactive process during an intake meeting. LAP Counselors can also assist with developing a Student Education Plan (SEP), Transfer Planning, Career Planning, Campus and Community Referrals, Academic Standing Counseling, and Student Success Strategies.

Learning Disability Specialists

Learning Disability Specialists develop individualized academic accommodations plans (AAP) through an interactive process. Learning Disabilities (LD) Specialists administer Learning Disabilities (LD) Assessments to determine eligiblity for services. LD Specialists also provide other on-campus and community referrals.

Assistive Technology 

Assessment of students’ assistive technology needs, identifying assistive technology tools, and providing training and support for apps and programs in the areas of text-to-speech, voice recognition, note-taking and organizational that can assist students with reading, writing, notetaking, and studying.

Providing support to Hancock students with the admission and class registration process, provide general financial aid information, process concurrent enrollment and College Now paperwork from the local high schools, connect high schoolers with the LAP applicaton and office, and assist with outreach activities.
