Phoenix Scholars
Welcome to Phoenix Scholars
Phoenix Scholars at Allan Hancock College is a program within Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) that supports our system impacted and gang impacted youth into Higher Education. We work collaboratively with the Central Coast Community to increase college and career access and success for youth ages 14-24. Several off-campus resources are also available to students.

Phoenix Scholars Eligibility
To qualify for the Phoenix Scholars Program
- Must be 14-24 years of age
- Enrolled at Allan Hancock College
- Includes noncredit classes
- If you are not enrolled yet, we can assist you in enrolling
- Impacted by the justice system
- Formerly or currently incarcerated
- Currently and/or previously involved in a gang or impacted by gang culture
- Includes having a family member who is gang associated or living in a neighborhood that has a strong gang presence
