Campus Access

Disabled Parking 

Drivers possessing valid disabled placards and a valid AHC parking permit may park in designated disabled stalls. If disabled stalls are unavailable, those possessing placards and an AHC permit may park in nearby staff or student parking.

Mobility Scooter 

A three- or four-wheel, battery-run vehicle with a padded seat and back designed for students who cannot walk easily (or at all) without assistance. Mobility Scooters are available for campus use.  Contact LAP to request use of a mobility scooter.

Service Animal 

Service animals are dogs and miniature horses trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability.  Students or visitors are not required to register with LAP to bring a service animal on campus; however, they are encouraged to.  Refer to AHC Board Policy and Administrative Policy 3440 – Service Animals and Other Animals on District Property for further information.

Security Escort Service

Security escort service by the AHC Police Department is available for students to and from parking lots on the Santa Maria campus and at the Lompoc Valley Center. To arrange an escort, call the campus of your choice an hour or more in advance.
