At Allan Hancock College, we believe every new student deserves a strong start. The First Year Experience (FYE) is more than a program. It’s a community that supports, guides, and celebrates you throughout your first year. Through faculty, counselors, success mentors, workshops, and campus events. FYE @ AHC helps you build confidence, stay on track, and reach your goals-one step at a time.

First Year Experience (FYE@AHC) is for students who:
 

  • Are first-time college students beginning Fall 2026
  • Meet Hancock Promise requirements
  • Have not yet completed college-level English and math

If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to participate in FYE @ AHC. Complete the interest form and you will be contacted with more information.

📚 Registration Rally
April 30, 2026
High school registration teams will be on-site supporting new students with completing their Allan Hancock College registration. Get help enrolling in classes, confirming your first-semester schedule, and making sure you’re ready for a strong start this fall.

🎉 Bring Your Team 
Tuesday, June 16 
Bring a family member, supporter, or friend to this extended orientation experience designed just for FYE students. Meet your cohort, connect with faculty and success mentors, and learn about the resources that will support you throughout your first year. This event helps you and your support system understand how to navigate college successfully — together.

Join us for a fun and informative welcome to Allan Hancock College as you prepare for the fall semester.

Hancock Hello is an orientation-style event designed to help you feel confident and connected before the semester begins. Students and families are welcome!

What to expect:

  • Workshops for students and families (Spanish sessions available)

  • Campus tours

  • Meet faculty, staff, programs, and student services

  • Clubs and resource fair

  • Career exploration support

  • Free dinner provided
