Transcript evaluation
Our Admissions and Records Transcript Evaluators will evaluate transcripts in the order received. The timing of a transcript evaluation depends on non-peak times (up to 15 days) versus peak times (up to 20 days). Each transcript will be reviewed to determine course equivalency. Only courses completed with a grade of C or better will be reviewed for course equivalency. Once the transcript has been evaluated, you will receive a confirmation email. The email will advise you to schedule a counseling appointment to complete a comprehensive student education plan to ensure all eligible credit has been applied to your certificate and/or degree. Students can reference their DegreeWorks, located in the Hancock portal, to view how external credit has applied. Students wishing to transfer to a university are strongly encouraged to schedule a counseling appointment for a thorough transfer evaluation.
Schedule a counseling appointment to Complete a student education plan
Once you have received your confirmation email from the Admissions and Records Office verifying all your official transcripts have been evaluated, you are encouraged to schedule a counseling appointment to complete a comprehensive student education plan. A counselor will ensure all credit has been applied towards your academic goal.
