Culturally Inclusive and Humanizing Assessments
Diversity
Diversity is the range of human differences and identities, including but not limited
to race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, social class,
physical ability or attributes, religious or ethical values system, national origin,
perspectives, and political beliefs (including all intersectionalities).
Equity
Equity is the promotion of justice, individualized treatment, and fairness needed
for all individuals to achieve individual and communal success
Inclusion
Inclusion is the policy and intentional practice by which barriers are removed so
that all individuals may be fully involved and empowered to participate meaningfully
in all aspects of the college.
Accessibility
Accessibility is ensuring that a person with a disability is afforded the same opportunities
as a person without a disability to: Acquire the same information. Engage in the same
interactions. Enjoy the same services. Experience substantially equivalent ease of
use.
