Public Meetings
MEETING AGENDAS/MINUTES
The Allan Hancock College California Adult Education Program Consortium typically meets on the third Thursday of every other month. Meeting agendas, minutes and board meeting reports are provided below.
Allan Hancock College is part of a regional consortium with Lompoc Adult School and Career Center called the Allan Hancock College Adult Education Consortium Program (AHC-CAEP). AHC-CAEP is tasked by the Chancellor’s Office and the California Department of Education with implementing AB 86 Section 76, Article 3, the Adult Education Block Grant (AEBG) renamed to California Adult Education Program. The funding is allocated to the region and is a designated governance body per state legislation AB 86 (2013) and AB104 (2015).
The purpose of the AHC-CAEP is to oversee the development and implementation of the AEBG/CAEP plans within the geographic boundaries of the Northern Santa Barbara County as it addresses adult education needs of the region. The AHC-CAEP is charged with improvement of adult education service integration, improvement in student transitions to post–secondary education and workforce, alignment of adult education services in the region amongst adult education providers and the Workforce Development Board programs, and engagement of providers and stakeholders in the development of adult education plans.
