Meet the AHC Bulldog Ambassadors

 

Avari is a second year student at Hancock pursuing sociology. She loves being an ambassador because she gets to give back to her community and show compassion to students in need. She is also passionate about fostering a kind and collaborative campus environment. 

 

 

Gary is a returning student and a life-long learner. After taking a majority of courses in nutrition, he has chosen to change direction and has been studying vocal techniques. He enjoys being an ambassador as it affords him the opportunity to assist and connect with other students. 

 

 

Hidalia is a third-year student studying culinary arts. She enjoys working at community events with her fellow ambassadors, meeting new people, and being able to help them with questions about the college. Being an ambassador has helped her get out of her comfort zone and connect with her fellow students. 

 

 

Jay is a third-year student studying biomedical engineering. His favorite thing about being an ambassador is being able to help anybody in need, be it finding a classroom or information about student services! Jay also does tech and IT work, building computers and custom hardware for anybody who needs it. Being able to expand his horizons and knowledge about helping people and technology has always been something he enjoys doing! 

 

JP is a second year student working towards his degree for graphic design. He’s planning on being a freelance designer or working for a big company. JP loves being an ambassador because he likes talking to new people, being a part of the community and being helpful to anyone in need. He likes to draw, skate, read, and go outside in his free time. His favorite color is green.

 

 

Marcos is in his third year at Hancock, and is studying architectural drafting. His favorite thing about being an ambassador is being able to meet so many amazing students and community members.  He advises potential students to take advantage of events on campus, socialize, and connect with on-campus services.

 

 

Maria is a third year college student pursuing a career in nursing. As a student, she enjoys being involved with all the fun events on campus. She is also a member of Hancock's EOPS and CAN-Trio programs. She is energetic and enjoys being at Hancock. She believes she can overcome anything that comes her way and will always find a way through!  

 

 

Ry is currently working towards a certificate in Fashion Studies. They love working on campus, supporting students and prospective students. You can usually catch them in the Pride Center, come stop by! Ry loves cats, adventures, and the performing arts. 

 

 

Vanessa is committed to fostering connection, support, and belonging for others, just as she has experienced. She believes in leading with kindness, listening with intention, and representing our values with integrity. In return for all the opportunity she’s been given, she offers her voice, time, and energy to uplift others and contribute to a culture of inclusivity, inspiration, and growth.
