Meet the AHC Bulldog Ambassadors
Alyson is a third-year student working toward a degree in mathematics and life sciences.
She enjoys being an ambassador because it allows her to live out her passion to help
individuals and uplift her community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new
cities and exploring national parks.
Avari is a psychology major. She plans to transfer to a four-year university for her
bachelor's degree in psychology. Her career goal is to become a speech pathologist.
Avari loves being an ambassador because it allows her to connect with and help her
fellow students and community members.
Bridget is a second-year student working toward her degree in nursing. Being an ambassador
has been a rewarding experience. She loves connecting with students and helping them
feel supported. She is passionate about compassionate care, teamwork, and making a
difference in people's lives. She enjoys hiking, running, and reading.
Diego is a third year student at Hancock studying business administration. He enjoys
being helpful and setting a good example for his fellow students. This is his last
year at Hancock and he is making the most of it.
Hidalia is a third-year student studying culinary arts. She enjoys working at community
events with her fellow ambassadors, meeting new people, and being able to help them
with questions about the college. Being an ambassador has helped her get out of her
comfort zone and connect with her fellow students.
Jay is a third-year student studying biomedical engineering. His favorite thing about
being an ambassador is being able to help with anything and everything, be it finding
a classroom or information about student services. Jay used to run a culture club
on campus and enjoys learning about other people and their cultures. Being able to
expand his horizons and knowledge about people and cultures has always been a passion.
J.P. is a first year student studying graphic design. His favorite part of being an
ambassador is getting to meet new people and helping with events. He loves being on
the ambassador team and getting to meet wonderful people.
Leilani is a third-year student at Hancock and plans to graduate with an associate
degree in science, then transfer to a four-year university. You’ll know her around
campus as Lilo! She hopes to help other students become comfortable in college and
succeed. Leilani knows how hard it is to ask for help in a new environment, so she
looks forward to making sure students can put their trust her.
Lily is a first-year student studying business, with a focus in accounting and finance.
Her favorite thing about being an ambassador is being involved with all the fun events
on campus. She enjoys how her job has helped her meet many friendly and hard-working
people.
Lisette is majoring in nutrition and dietetics, as well as learning American Sign
Language. Because Spanish was her first language and English was her second, she believes
that learning is everything. Coming back to school after 23 years has her excited
to continue her educational journey. The legacy she hopes to leave for her grandchildren
is to teach them that it is never too late to learn something new or get an education.
Marcos is in his second year at Hancock, and is studying architectural drafting. His
favorite thing about being an ambassador is being able to meet so many amazing students
and community members. He advises potential students to take advantage of events
on campus, socialize, and connect with on-campus services.
Maria is a first-generation college student in Hancock's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
program. As a student, she enjoys being in clubs and learning about the programs available to help students on campus. She is also a member of Hancock's EOPS and CAN-Trio programs. She is energetic and enjoys being at Hancock. She believes she can overcome anything that comes her way and will always find a
way through!
Rachel is a sociology major looking to transfer to a four-year institution. Her favorite
thing about being an ambassador is sharing her knowledge about student services with
new and returning students. Hancock has made her hopes and dreams come true, and
introduced her to professors who saw her potential even when she did not. She has
learned to believe in herself and hopes to pass that along to her fellow students.
Skyler is a biology major hoping to transfer to a four-year university in the future.
He loves participating in different events on campus, as well as getting to know new
people. His hobbies include video games, creative writing, and reading. He hopes to
be able to learn public speaking skills that will help him achieve his goal of becoming
a zookeeper.
Tania is majoring in recreation management and is planning on transferring to a four-year
university. She is involved in Hancock's Associated Student Body Government (ASBG)
as an executive director and is president in Young Farmers and Ranchers Club on campus.
She loves helping others, and enjoys decorating for college events with other ambassadors.
She says that being an ambassador is like having another family on campus.
