CBOT/CBIS Advisory Committee

This Advisory Committee supports the Computer Business Office Technology (CBOT) and Computer Business Information Systems (CBIS) programs. These programs are also known as career technical education (CTE), whose primary goal is to prepare students for employment immediately upon completion of the program or to upgrade their skills for current and future jobs. State regulations, accreditation requirements, and our local board policy require each of our occupational programs to have an established advisory committee, whose role it is to make recommendations regarding program improvements, future direction, course offerings, course standards, facilities, and equipment needs.

Our CTE programs rely on input from community and industry leaders to remain current with the changing demands of the workplace. Employer perspective and experience are critical to the continued viability of our degrees and the employability of our graduates. This committee helps us maintain the highest-quality occupational education programs we can offer.
