We consider ourselves a family and we would be glad to have you join our circle. Like any family, we have young and old, married and single, experienced and inexperienced musicians. We're sure you'll fit right in and contribute your best to our quest for excellence and fun.
ENROLLING
Our bands are evening classes here at Allan Hancock College. Symphonic Band meets on Monday evenings and Jazz Band meets on Thursday evenings. These groups are open to all members of the Allan Hancock College student community as well as non-college musicians from the surrounding area. Here are the ways to join the bands:
For Symphonic/Concert Band Credit courses you may enroll in one of the following: MUS 151, 140
Each class may be taken up to four semesters.
For Symphonic/Concert Band Non-Credit (Community Service/Fee Based), you may enroll in: CSMU 8000
For Jazz Band Credit courses, you may enroll in one of the following: MUS 143, 144, 145, 146
Each class may be taken up to four semesters
For Jazz Band Non-Credit (Community Education), you may enroll in: OLDR 7401
