Zine Activities


The library provides both Zine Kits and Zine Presentations for classes and Student Clubs. Please take a moment to review which option is best for you. We provide 3 options:

Zine Kits (4 total available): One kit can facilitate a class or student club of up to 20 students. Each Zine Kit includes paper, markers, colored pencils, stamps, stamp pads, glue sticks, stickers, scissors, xacto knives, cutting boards, and plenty of scrap materials. 

Zine Presentations: Zine Presentations are led by Sharaya, our resident zine librarian! A zine presentation includes an interactive compare and contrast exercise, a short discussion about the importance of zines, and a brief description of how zines have been used by underrepresented communities. Presentations are typically 15-20 minutes long. 

Zine Presentation + Kit: Presentation plus a folding demonstration and review of the Zine Kit materials can also be provided if the requestor would like a combination presentation and zine kit.

Please note that Zine Activities are only available at the Santa Maria Campus at this time.
