Borrow

There are so many books, movies, and more you can borrow through the library.  Use the search box below to check the library catalog, or refer to one of the links below for borrowing a specific item. Your Allan Hancock College student ID is your library card. Your ID must be current and you must have it present to check out anything from the library. Need assistance using the library catalog? Borrow a Book or DVD

Students, faculty and staff looking to borrow circulating library items can request and pick up items from the AHC Libraries by placing a hold on materials in the library catalog. Most circulating books will be available to check out for three weeks at a time, with the option to renew twice. Questions? Review our guide. Once you have placed a request and receive notification your item is ready for pickup, you can pick up items during our open hours as shown here

Borrow a Textbook

 

Looking for access to course textbooks? Check the library catalog to see if you can borrow your book through the Books for Bulldogs collection or if there is an online textbook

Borrow a Laptop or Hotspot

 

Chromebooks and hotspots will be loaned on a first come, first served basis.  Visit the technology lending page or contact the circulation desk for more info.

Borrow Model Kits, Rock Sets, and More

 

The library offers anataomical models (muscles, brains, organs, etc), kits with bones and geological kits of rocks and minerals for in-library borrowing. Inquire at the front desk for availability. View the full list of items available at the SM Campus library.

Borrow an eBook

 

Access the library's eBooks from anywhere 24/7. For off-campus access to eBooks, you will be asked to enter your myHancock username and password.

Borrow a Book from Cal Poly or UCSB

 

Certain books and articles may be requested from our local univeristy libraries. Please fill out this form.
