Violent or Criminal Behavior

Be alert of suspicious situations and report them to AHC Police Department, ext. 3911 (Santa Maria Campus), ext. 5911 (Lompoc Valley Center).

From your cell phone call Santa Maria Police Dispatch 925-2631, or Lompoc Police Dispatch 736-4511

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE CONTACT WITH SUSPICIOUS OR POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SUBJECTS.

  • Victims involved in any on-campus violation of the law such as assault, robbery, theft, overt sexual behavior, etc., should immediately dial 911. Local police agencies will notify AHC Police Department, ext. 3911 (Santa Maria Campus), ext. 5911 (Lompoc Valley Center), as soon as possible. From your cell phone call Santa Maria Police Dispatch 925-2631, or Lompoc Police Dispatch 736-4511.

Supply the dispatch operator with the following information:

    1. Nature of incident.
    2. Specific location of incident, e.g., West Side of building “A”.
    3. Description of person(s) involved.
    4. Description of property involved.
  • Immediately notify AHC Police Department, ext. 3911 (Santa Maria Campus), ext. 5911 (Lompoc Valley Center), if you are a witness of an on-campus violation of the law. Provide the information outlined above.

  • Supply AHC Police Department personnel with all pertinent information. Ask others to do the same.

  • AHC Police Department will conduct the required campus search and take appropriate police action.

  • Gravity of situation will dictate the necessity to activate the Incident Command Center.
