Licensed Vocational Nursing
Allan Hancock College offers the opportunity to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Your compassion and skill in patient care will help minimize the stress of patients and provide much-needed support for registered RNs. You will care for people who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses.
The LVN program is a twelve-month program offered every year, January through December (including summer session). Current California Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who have completed program prerequisites are eligible to apply. The curriculum is designed to prepare the CNA to become an LVN. Clinical practice takes place in our labs, local hospitals, and medical care facilities.

The LVN Program Application Period will be available online from April 1-June 30 of every year.
The applications need to be delivered or postmarked by June 30 (end of application period) to be eligible. Status letters will be mailed out at the end of July. (Note: Information regarding the status of an application will not be provided over the phone or email)
